Happy saturday everyone!

It's time for another ODBD Shining the Light Challenge ODBDSLC15!

This week the challenge team is challenging you to use stars and/or stripes on your creation. Since Memorial Day is coming up, we thought this might be fun. Please note that your card or project can be patriotic but it does not have to be.

To make the challenge even more fun, ODBD will be giving out a prize , a $15 gift certificate to be used toward stamps at the Our Daily Bread Design's store!! Entries for the prize must be submitted by Thursday, June 3. One random winner will be chosen and announced next Saturday. While it is not required to use Our Daily Bread Designs images and sentiments on your creations, we would love to see them if you have them.

This is what I have created for this challenge!

The lovely ODBD's Scripture Collection 4 was stamped on the Spellbinder's Nestabilitie. I created the flower by following Beate's fabulous tutorial. The leaves were created using a Sizzix Diecut. Rows of tiny pearls and dew drops were added to the background.

Hope you will check out what the other challenge team members have created:

Please check out  ODBD's Blog for all the details!

Hi everyone!

We have had some beautiful days in the neighborhood lately!  Temps in the 80's and no rain!

Today over on SCS Julia challenged us to color our creations with anything but ink!

I chose to use acrylic paints! I used an artist brush with water and a light blue acrylic color to add color directly to the Rubbernecker flower and an olive green acrylic to color the leaves and stem! After stamping I added accents of white, darker blue and a touch of yellow! The frame was made using Spellbinder's Nestibillities then popped up over the image! I used a decorative cuttlebug corner diecut for the framing and corners and a c/b folder for the embossing! MFP Breezy blue and Bang Up Blue.

Thanks for stopping by! Hope you have a marvelous day!

Hi to everyone!

Today on SCS Cathleen (ctornia) is being honored as the featured stamper of the day! Cathleen is a lovely lady! Her gallery is awesome just filled with gorgeous creations! If you have not visited Cathleens Gallery you are in for a treat! This is Cathleens beautiful card that I chose to case!

Here is my creation for this challenge!

I changed the colors, I added more layers and my ribbon is doubled!
I kept the same design and image.

The lovely image is from Rubbernecker's "Bold Floral Daisies"!

The image was stamped twice then colored using copics and Ranger distress inks. Some of the flowers were cut out and popped up. The background was cuttlebugged.

Ummmm, the saying goes that April showers bring May flowers! We had our share of April showers and now our May flowers are drowning because of all the May showers! On the bright side it makes for a good day to stay in and stamp and I don't have to water those beautiful May flowers!

Thanks for stopping by! Hope to see you soon!

Hugs!

Hi everyone!
Goodness, it's hard to believe it's already friday!
We are still having cloudy rainy weather! On the bright side I don't have to water the flowers!

This is my creation for two challenges on SCS!
Todays Ways to Use it challenge we were to use the spotlight tech. This was my first time to do this tech, I think I like it.

The lovely images are from Rubbernecker's new Florals and Weeds sets! Images were stamped using Momento Tuxedo Black. I then colord images using markers (SU rose red and regal rose)  and spritzed, cut out using a l l/4 inch punch then popped up spotlight! The background is cuttlebugged using a sizzix folder! Used Spellbinders Nestibillities die cut!

Thanks for stopping by!
Hope you have a marvelous evening!

Hi everyone!
It's been chilly this week. First we had spring and now it feels like winter is returning! A chance of rain every day this week.

This is a card I did for the Inspiration Challenge

The lovely image is from Rubbernecker‘s new Floral collection!
An oval template was used as a mask so I could stipple SU summer sun!
Markers (SU rose red and regal rose) were used to ink stamp! I then spritzed and stamped! A cuttlebug folder was used for the embossed swirls. The decorative border was done using a M/S punch!

Thanks for stopping by! Hope you have a fabulous evening!

Going out to eat tonight! WaHoo, no cooking!
