To make the challenge even more fun ODBD is giving a $15 gift certificate to be used toward stamps at the Our Daily Bread Designs store!! Entries for the prize must be submitted by Thursday, June 2nd One random winner will be chosen and announced next Saturday. If you are not using ODBD stamps, please do not enter more than once.

While it is not required to use Our Daily Bread Designs images and sentiments on your creations, we would love to see them if you have them. As a way of recognizing those who do use Our Daily Bread Designs stamps, we will again be choosing 1 to 2 creations to spotlight for our Shining the Light Award. In order to qualify for this award, however, you must use Our Daily Bread stamps and have your submission added to Mr. Linky by May 26 at 8 p.m. EST. This is what I created!

The ODBD Bird Border & Corners image I used was designed by our very own Dawn Lusk (DawnL)!

I colored directly onto the stamp using markers, used the huffing tech and stamped. Spellbinder's Lables 18 Nestabilities were used to cut out and frame the image. I used a pop out flower from a Flower Soft "Wildflower" Kit over the top of the image and a Fleur de Lis Shapeabilitie on the bottom. The background was embossed using a Sizzix E/F. Gold pearls and ribbon were added!

This is the inside of my card!

More images from ODBD's Bird Border & Corners and the sentiment from ODBD's Scripture Collection 6!

Hi everyone!

It's Saturday and time for another Our Daily Bread Designs Shining The Light Challenge!

Todays challenge is to use embedded embossing on your creation!

To use embedded embossing, you punch out shapes or cut layers or strips out and then adhere them to your card base piece. Once adhered, place the entire layer in an embossing folder of your choice and emboss both the punched out shapes-layers-strips and the base piece all together. The result looks like seamless embossing … you have just embedded your shapes/layers to the card base.

To make the challenge even more fun, we will be giving  a $15 gift certificate to be used toward stamps at the Our Daily Bread Designs store!! Entries for the prize must be submitted by Thursday, May 12. One random winner will be chosen and announced next Saturday.

In order to qualify for this award, you must use Our Daily Bread Designs stamps and have your submission added to Mr. Linky by May 12 at 8 p.m. EST. If you upload your creations to Splitcoast Stampers or any other online gallery, please use the keyword  ODBDSLC59. When creating your posts on blogs please include a link to the challenge.

This is what I created for this challenge!

Our Daily Bread Designs Sing to the Lord was stamped several times, colored using Copic Markers and cut out! For my "embedded embossing" I used two Spellbinders Lables Eighteen Nestibilities! After stamping the sentiment from With Heartfelt Sympathy, I glued the two diecuts together along with some of the cut out flowers and embossed using SU Basket Weave E/F. The bird image was popped up over the embedded embossing! The background was done using a Sizzix E/F.

Please stop by to see what our talented ODBD Challenge Team have created and leave them a comment!

We hope you will play along with us!

Thanks for stopping by! Hope you have a fabulous weekend! Hugs!

You can find the complete list of todays Design Team participants on the Rubbernecker Blog!

On our release day we have a fun game planned for everyone!!!!! You will not want to miss it!

For my project today I chose to use the soon to be released SUNFLOWER (SKU53l-05)

This is a gift box and a matching card, one of several that will fit inside the box!

Here is a close up of the Gift Box!

The Sunflower was stamped on kraft cardstock! I then used clorox bleach on the petals and leaves. After bleaching I colored the image using Copic markers. The decorative border for the box cover was done using a M/S punch! Ribbon and Zva Pearls were also added! Spellbinders Nesties and diecut were used for cutting out the image and the framing. Instructions for making the Gift Box can be found in the Resourse Section of Splitcoaststampers!

A closer look at the card!

This is a CAS creation (something I don't usually do)! After stamping, the image was colored using copics. Because the leaves are solid, after inking image I used a wipe to remove the black ink, then used markers to color directly on the stamp, huffed and stamped! The Rubbernecker sentiment and a ribbon were then added!

Thanks for hopping with us! GOOD LUCK

Thanks for stopping by! Hugs!
