Happy Saturday everyone!
It's time for another Our Daily Bread Design's "Shining The Light Challenge.

This week the Challenge Team is challenging you to create a card or project that is outside of the box- No A2 or rectangular cards. You can create a different shape or use a different fold (accordian fold, shadow box, pocket, easel, wiper, slider) There are many tutorials for different styles of cards in the Resource Section of Splitcoast Stampers.

This is what I have created for this weeks challenge.

The beautiful image is an Our Daily Bread Design sneak peak of "Easter Blessings" that will be available March lst. I deceided to use the easel tech. The image was stamped and colored using Copic Markers. The frame was created using Spellbinders Nestibillities then added tiny pearls! The Basic Grey dp was  cuttlebugged as was the olive card stock.

Check out what the rest of the ODBDCT has created:

To make the challenge even more fun, ODBD will be giving out a
prize, a $15 gift certificate to be used toward stamps at the
Our Daily Bread Designs store!

If you upload your creations to Splitcoast Stampers or any other
online gallery, please use the keyword ODBDSLC4. When
creating your posts on blogs please include a link to the
challenge. Be sure to check Our Daily Bread Design's blog for all the details!

Good morning everyone!  Happy Saturday!
The Our Daily Bread Shining the Light Challenge
is challenging you to acknowledge and case a crafter you admire
or a creation you admire changing just two elements to make it
your own.

This is my creation for ODBDSLC3!

I chose to case this beauty created by Chris (glowbug)! Chris creates such beautiful cards with amazing details! She uses so many lovely designer papers. Always just the right touch! One day I might even  get brave enough to try her fabulous zig-zag stitching. Thanks for the inspiration, Chris!

The lovely image is ODBD's You Will Find Refuge! It was colored using Copics! The lovely dp is Basic Grey Sugared!

I kept pretty much the same design and colors. I changed part of the image, didn't do the stitching or the corners, used different dp!

To make the challenge even more fun, ODBD will be giving out a
prize, a $15 gift certificate to be used toward stamps at the
Our Daily Bread Designs store!! Entries for the prize must be
submitted by Thursday, February 25. One random winner will be
chosen and announced next Saturday. While it is not required to
use Our Daily Bread Designs images and sentiments on your
creations, we would love to see them if you have them.

As a way of recognizing those who do use Our Daily Bread Designs
stamps, we will again be choosing 1 to 2 creations to spotlight
for our Shining the Light Award. In order to qualify for this
award, however, you must use Our Daily Bread stamps and have
your submission added to Mr. Linky by February 25 at 8 p.m. EST.

If you upload your creations to Splitcoast Stampers or any other

Hi everyone!

This is a card I did for yesterdays sketch challenge on SCS.

The lovely image ODBD  Sing for Joy was colored using copics and Prismacolor pencils with Gamsol. The Pink panel was cuttlebugged. Dew drops were added to the small square!

We haven't had any snow for about two days but are expecting some over the weekend! We have about six inches still on the ground! As cold as it is I'm sure it will hang around for awhile! Ho hum!

Hope you have a marvelous day! Keep warm!

Hi to everyone!

First, let me call attention to my new Blog Header! Bev (beestamper) created this for me! I had admired hers, so she just whipped this up for me! I just love it! Awesome Bev! Thanks so much!

We have a little winter wonderland! We got about 8 inches of fresh snow yesterday! Can't really whine to much, as it is not near as bad as DC and other parts of the country!

Hope you are keeping safe and warm!

This is for today's Sketch Challenge on Splitcoast!

This is the perfect sketch to use Rubbernecker's Easter Inchies! The images were stamped twice colored using copics, cut out and popped up! The circles and scallops were cut using Spellbinders Nestibillities! Background panels were cuttlebugged! Used two M/S punches (pinebough and leaf) and an SU punch for the tiny flowers!

Thanks for stopping by! Stay warm. Blessings!

Thursday, February 4, 2010

Good morning all!
Hope your day is going good!
I think today will be our last good weather day for awhile. They are calling for snow for the next few days. Just in time for the weekend!

This card was made for the Splitcoast challenge Ways to use it WT256. Julia challenged us to make a collage some place on our card or project!

I chose to do the collage as the background for the main image! I used images from  Our Daily Bread Designs Sing for Joy and Amazing Grace Hymn for the backgtound! I stippled several distress inks over the background then added images! The main image ODBD Sing for Joy was stamped, colored using Copics and then cut out using Spelbinders Deckled Nestibillitie! The edges were sponged and the image was
      popped up!

Thanks for stopping by! Hope you have a marvelous day!
