~ Happy New Year ~
Today on SCS Dawn challenged us to make a card depicting one of our New Years resolutions! This one depicts two. One is to send more birthday cards and one is to be more thankful for my blessings!
The Rubbernecker's sentiment was stamped and then cut out using a Spellbinder's diecut and the fabulous Spellbinder's Grand Calibur diecut machine. The Grand Calibur is a dream to use. It is so, so easy to use and cuts and embosses like a dream. There is no guessing about which plates to use, they are all marked. The flower was made using a McGill flower and leaf punches. The lovely dp is Websters Pages.
Our New Years tradition is to have blackeyed peas, turnip greens and cornbread on New Years day. What do you usually have on New Years day?
I wish you blessings, health and happiness in the New Year.
Thanks for stopping by! Hugs!

Fran, oh my word, this card is so beautiful!!! From the wonderful sentiment to the paper, flourish and that awesome flower...WOW, just another piece of ART you have created!!! Friends of min have the same tradition you have with the blackeyed peas, greens and cornbread. We really don't have one, just enjoying family ;D. I pray that you and your family have the most wonderful and blesed New Year ever!!! Hugs and blessings m friend, Sabrina
what a beauty...love your paper rose.....and the dazzle of the flourish, but most of all, I LOVE the sentiment...so very true
New Year's Day is a day of relaxation for me. No real tradition.....just a day to play.
This is sooo elegant and shabbylicious, Fran...I love, love, love the WP dp and your flower is fabulous!!!! Hope you had a wonderful New Years, gf!!!
Beautiful card!! Your flower is fabulous!
What a gorgeous creation, Francie! I got a Big Shot for Christmas, but it sounds like I should've asked for a Grand Calibur! LOL! We don't have any kind of traditional meal on New Year's Day; we're just thankful to see a new year!!! Happy New Year to you, sweet friend.
this is so pretty fran-love the websters dp-your new years meal sounds yummy-we usually have sauerkraut & pork-happy new year to you-
Wowzers, Fran, this is stunning! Gorgeous paper, and love that flower you made! My mom always fixed sauerkraut and hot dogs, but after I got married that tradition stopped. DH doesn't like sauerkraut. :-)
Fantastic! Love that Websters paper and your handmade flower.
