ODBDSLC79 Make your Own Embellishment Challenge

Happy Saturday Everyone!

Wow, I can't believe it's been two weeks since our last ODBDSLC Challenge!

After having the same challenge for two weeks, we are excited to be back!!
Before introducing the new challenge, I would like to welcome our newest guest: Sue Worthington. Sue has been an active participant and our challenges and is a real inspiration. Welcome Sue!! We look forward to seeing your ODBD Challenge creations!

This weeks challenge: Make your own Embellishments (dye your own seam binding, make your own  flowers, make your own buttons or stickpins and etc.) on your creation.

To make the challenge even more fun, Our Daily Bread Designs is giving a $15 gift certificate to be used toward stamps at the Our Daily Bread Designs store! Entries for the prize must be submitted by Friday, Oct. 14th! One random winner will be chosen and announced next Saturday. If you are not using ODBD stamps, please do not enter more than once!

While it is not required to use Our Daily Bread Designs images and sentiments on your creations, we would love to see them if you have them. As a way of recognizing those who do use Our Daily Bread Designs stamps, we will again be choosing 1 to 2 creations to spotlight for our Shining the Award. In order to qualify for this award, however, you must use Our Daily Bread stamps and have your submission added to Mr. Linky by Oct. 14th at 8 p.m. EST. If you upload your creations to SplitcoastStampers or any other online gallery, please use the keyword ODBDSLC79. When creating your posts on blogs please include a link to the challenge!

This is my card!

I chose to use ODBD's "Give Thanks"! Something I try to do every day! I have so much to be thankful for!  After stamping the lovely image I colored it using Prisma Colored pencils anpd Gamsol and sponged using Cantelope! To frame the image I used Spellbinder's Lacey Squares Nesties! The decorative border was done using Spellbinder's "Fleur de Lis Borderabilities"! For my embellishment I  dyed seam binding using Glimmer Mist  "Tiger Lily"! This is my first time to try this! Love this tech and will be doing more of it!

Please stop by to see what our talented ODBD Challenge Team have created!

I love this card and it's so funny, I've decided to use that set for Thanksgiving cards - next weekend a group of girlfriends and I take a "Wild Women's Weekend" and stamp! It's tons of fun and as I've been choosing what to bring, I chose this set! Thanks for showing it again!
